The mighty fuselage of the new tanker, developed from the A330-200, holds well over 100 metric tons of fuel for serving other aircraft, or 45 metric tons of cargo or 300 soldiers instead. Under optimal conditions, the A330 MRTT itself can fly up to 14,800 km. Launching customer was Australia, which put the first of seven aircraft into service in mid-2011. To date, ten countries have ordered more than 80 aircraft for their air forces. In addition to the hose reel pods on the wings, this new tooling in 1/200 also sports the refueling boom at the rear, which can be displayed in two positions.
