T-72B3 is the third generation of Russian T-72 series. The T-72B3 is designed to be an economic alternative to the T-90A main battle tank before the Russian armed forces acquire the new generation tank T-14 "almata". It is a simple upgrade of the T-72B tank, raising some parameters to the T-90A level.
In 2016, the tank was upgraded to T-72B3M version. The new version includes a new v-92c2f engine with a power of 1130 litres. "Sosner-u" sight, new dynamic defense system "relic", new 6p50 "cod" anti-aircraft machine gun and improved automatic loader can use "lead-1" and "lead-2" shells.
4S24 being the one with the beveled edge on the boxes that are on the hull sides. The early one, IIRC, is about 400-500 vs HEAT and 4S24 is 600-800 vs HEAT. 4S24 is also more resistant to HMG and less vulnerable to chain denotations.
