Trumpeter 07285 1/72 Chinese Type 59 Main Battle Tank

The Type 59 main battle tank is a former Soviet T-54A tank produced under license in China. The former Soviet Union and China signed a technology transfer agreement for the T-54 A tank in 1956. In the same year, the Baotou 617 Factory aided by the former Soviet Union began construction. In 1958, the first batch of T-54As assembled with Soviet components officially rolled off the production line.
