Rye Field Model 5070 1/35 Pz.Kpfw.III Ausf.J with Workable Track Links and Torsion Bar Suspension System

This kit from Rye Field Model is an entirely new mold! The Pz.Kpfw.III was a 20-tone class medium tank that was the main force of the German tank corps until the middle of World War II. The J-type is a model that was produced alongside the temporarily improved H-type, and its body was a completely new design. Production of the J-type started in March 1941; it was initially equipped with a 42 caliber 5cm tank gun KwK, but from December 1941, a new 60 caliber 5cm gun, known as KwK39 and made by Rheinmetall, was used. After that time, Type-III tanks mounted with the 42 caliber gun were considered the "early" type and designated Sd.Kfz.141, whereas Type-III tanks mounted with the 60 caliber gun were considered the "late" type and designated Sd.Kfz.141/1.

This kit includes workable track links, a movable torsion bar suspension, and a main hatch that can be opened and closed. Several types of options are available for some parts such as the shields and front armor; photo-etched parts and decals for four versions are included.
