This kit, which continues MENG’s playable design concept, successfully presents the BMW R nineT motorcycle, which combines both classic and modern aesthetics, at a 1/9 scale by offering different liveries and components.

Three years later, let's talk about another luxurious cruiser motorcycle with even more retro elements, the BMW R 18 Classic.

The BMW R 18 Classic, introduced in 2020, is a luxury nostalgic cruiser inspired by the design of the 1930s BMW R5 motorcycle. Powered by an 1802cc four-stroke, horizontally opposed twin-cylinder boxer engine, it delivers 67 kW (91 hp) and 158 Nm of torque, offering robust performance. Its teardrop-shaped fuel tank and sleek exhaust pipes continues the series' classic design.

The latest MT-006 1/9 BMW R 18 Classic model kit is a product officially licensed by BMW. It continues MENG’s playable design concept. The motorcycle's nostalgic appearance and detailed features are meticulously replicated. Now, let’s introduce the highlight.

The development process of the MT-006 1/9 BMW R 18 Classic kit utilized 3D scanning data of an actual motorcycle, along with detailed photo references, to ensure an accurate recreation of the bike's nostalgic appearance.

To realistically replicate the details of the horizontally opposed boxer twin-cylinder engine, the cylinder parts were molded using four-way slide block technology. The emblems on both sides of the engine are recreated with metal photo-etched pieces, providing a realistic texture.

  • To realistically replicate the texture of the seats and saddlebags, and simplify the assembly process for modelers, these parts are made of premium soft vinyl material.
  • The stainless-steel brake discs not only feature precise details but also offer an authentic texture.
  • Reflective mirror foil is applied to the rearview mirrors and saddlebag rivets.
  • The large windshield and lights are recreated using high-quality transparent parts.
  • The kit offers three different liveries, Storm Black Metallic, Mars Red Metallic, and Manhattan Metallic Matte, along with corresponding decals.
